Artist's Statement

"The canvas is a doorway between dimensions. Angels and humans share the journey of evolution
while serving one another in order to grow in spiritual awareness and service. My art serves as
sources of inspiration and objects of meditation conveying messages to the viewer of the visions that
inspired them. The purpose is to transform consciousness through sharing my visions."

Dr. Aumakua Ra is a visionary artist living in Santa Fe, New Mexico who wishes above all to bring
angels into the lives of others. Her unique approach to art is through the doorway of the third
eye, or spiritual eye, which she has experienced since childhood. Her works have been based on visions
and personal experiences of the angelic and spirit realms. Her focus is the spiritual evolution of
human consciousness. The influence of Kandinsky in the spiritual aspects of art, and Gustav Klimpt
in her mosaic works, is evident.

Since childhood, she has been blessed with spiritual vision of angels and other spiritual beings which
are the inspiration for her art.  She believes that the angels travel between the angelic realms
and our world. Each piece is spiritually charged with the healing energies of the angels and
contains sacred waters, stones, feathers, and more from sacred sites around the world to which she
has traveled.

Aum studied sculpture, oils, and painting with numerous private instructors and during her
undergraduate studies at The College of William and Mary. Dr. Ra holds a Ph.D. in Transpersonal
Psychology and Consciousness Studies and a B.S. in Psychology from the College of William and Mary with
an Art Minor. She has an extensive background in yoga, meditation, and Shamanic Healing Arts.
